Diese Mandolinsnschule ist eine der ersten amerikanischen Mandolienschulen. Offensichtlich wurde fr diese Mandolinenschule die Schule von Carmine de Laurentiis als Grundlage benutzt. Fast alle Seiten die sich auf die SPieltechnik beziehen stimmen mit der Schule von Carmine de Laurentiis überein. Es sieht so aus als ob die komplette Schule von Carmine de Laurentiis übernommen wurde und mit Spielstücken und weiteren Übungen ergänzt wurde.

Die Abbildungen zu Haltung der Mandoline stimmen andererseits mit den Abbildungen aus der Schule von Cristofaro überein.

This method is one of the earliest mandolin methods printed in the USA, just 10 years after the Spanish Students hat given the first concerts with mandolins and bandurrias in the USA.

The method is composed of the almost complete mandolin method by Carmine de Laurentiis (1869) to which have been added additional pieces for one or two mandolins.

The diagram with the position of the mandolin is identical to the diagram from the method by Cristofaro which ahs been published shortly before Fisher's Tutor.
